Boa tarde, meu nome é Gabriel, sou integrante da equipe CEFAST BAJA, do CEFET-MG. A seção 7.8.1 faz a seguinte afirmação:

The entire fuel system, including splash shield, drip pan, and engine, must be located within the structural envelope of the vehicle’s roll cage (members defined in 7.4.2.1, and any extra primary or secondary members). Note that even in cases where Rear Fore-Aft Bracing is not used the fuel tank and entire fuel system must still be located inside the physical internal volume defined by the roll cage.

Para carros sem a FAB traseira, o tanque pode estar localizado como mostra a imagem abaixo? Ou ele tem que estar inteiramente abaixo do tubo indicado com a seta? Aguardo resposta, agradeço desde já!

O regulamento exige que o motor e todos seus periféricos estejam contidos dentro do envelope físico da gaiola. Ou seja, o tanque também deve estar envolto pelos tubos da parte traseira da gaiola, independente do tipo de contraventamento utilizado. Isso significa que não basta o tanque estar dentro do chamado "envelope de capotamento" (indicado pela linha verde na figura enviada pela equipe).
